Your talents are personal assets on the labor market. With these you can get way further than you dare to dream of – at the same time you will find larger work satisfaction. When a person gets their talents uncovered, we often see that the individual steps into it’s place. When we experience that we are seen, heard and acknowledged, it paves the way for stepping into character.
Talent development is about making you aware of your strengths, so that you actively use them in daily life. By focusing on your strength, as opposed to minimize your weaknesses, you become more confident and it has a definite impact on your experience of self belief, confidence and power of action.
But in order for you to get started with talent development, you need to search for knowledge about your talents – this is done through a talent test (take our test here). When we test what talents you possess, this is simply the first step. The test tells with 92,8% certainty how your talents are distributed for you. All people have 34 talents. These 34 talents are far from equally used. Often times we only use 1/3 of our talents and it is our top 3 talents that really ignites us as individuals.
This is also why there is alot of work in understanding and using your talents correctly. It requires self insight to put then in relation to different behaviour patterns. The deciding factor for the type of report you need is dependant on multiple variables. But here are 3 good questions to ask yourself to put yourself on the right path.
- What should the report be used for? What is the purpose of having the test? Do you need to convey what your top talents are in relation to a job interview or do you need sparring in relation to what career is right for you?
- Who should have access to the report? Is the report personal, or should it be shared further? In that case how much do you or a second part need to know in order for you to reach your desired goal?
- What are your own resources? Do you have a need for help to understand what the report carries of significance for you and how you should act after your new knowledge, or can you move yourself into the subject?
When you know what the purpose of the report is, it becomes easier to make the right decision for what type of report and guidance you need.
The 3 types of reports
The free report
We have developed a basis report that gives you insight into your top 9 talents. This report is perfect for you who is searching for a job and who needs a new way of looking at yourself and your resume. You will (hopefully) gain new knowledge around your talents, that you can use when you need to look for a job or if you aren’t satisfied in your current position. You can use the test as a navigator for where you should move to free up the potential, energy and happiness, and thereby create the conditions for you being satisfied and performing on the highest level.
The cons with this report is that you need to be able to put your talents in relation to different work situations and behavioural patterns. This is why for some it isn’t the right solution, but a good point of departure if you are curious and want to tell yourself what you can do.
In order to gain access to the report, you first need to complete the test (via this link).
The complete report
With the right type of report you gain insight into all your 34 talents, how they are placed in relation to eachother, as well as to what degree your talents are thinking, influencing, motivating or connecting. The report also gives you insight into the validity of the test you have taken, so you can exclude test errors. In addition you get insight into your talents in relation to specific dimensions. Dimensions are a type of glasses that we put on to interpret the talent. The different pictures we make of the dimensions, occur as the sum of exactly the top talents that you have, not the individual talent, but how they among themselves affect eachother.
The dimensions are suitable to describe the behaviour you show when you do something specific. In this report there is focus on the basic dimensions that are time, hard and soft, as well as the archetypes. In order to interpret this report there is often a need for some understanding of the talent work. It gives good insight for the HR employee, the leader, the coach or the work psychologist who is searching for greater insight into the individual and how they best can be developed.
You choose the dimensions that make sense for you. The report includes all talents and it goes in depth with your talents in relation to over 10 different dimensions such as behaviour, discussion strengths, team roles, knowledge disciplines, motivation, sales abilities, leadership abilities, stress types and communication abilities. In this way the test draws a personal profile and gives overview over your development opportunities. The test results are presented in a detailed report, it helps the continual personal development.
How Charlotte used the test to find new paths
When you don’t know your talents and environment isn’t aware of them, you often end up putting some different talents into play. This results in you missing out on a large amount of satisfaction and will feel stressed and demotivated quicker. Charlotte experienced this herself before she was offered a talent test through her education. Suddenly she could see a pattern that needed to be broken.
